FANS - Noah Levy (Minneapolis, USA)

Afternoon everyone!

Today, we have a very special fan, Noah Levy, who is Brian Setzer's Rockabilly Riot current drummer and due to this, he has recently toured Europe and Japan, and it's touring the US this month to eventually rock the land down-under next spring.

I contacted Noah a few days ago, when I decided to start this Fans section and very kindly, he replied. Note for navigators: Noah Levy is a Minneapolis local, and is nowadays best known for his work with Brian Setzer in "Songs From Lonely Avenue" and his last album "Setzer Goes Instru-mental", but he has also worked with many other Minneapolis bands of the category of BoDeans (Brian has even played with them on a couple of occassions as a guest), Trailer Trash, Honeydogs or Golden Smog.

(17.7.11 - BRPF, Peer, Belgium)

Here's what Noah says:

"My first concert was the Stray Cats in 1984 (?) at the Northrop Auditorium in Minneapolis (* I've checked the date guys, 16 March 1983). I was 12 and my brother had brought home "Built For Speed" and I listened to that record all the time. The show was fantastic, with the Busboys as the opening act. I remember the balcony shaking so badly that we thought it would collapse.

Fast Forward: 25 years later I received a phone call to record with... Brian Setzer, TONIGHT (* 2009, some demos for what would be BSO's last album so far, "Lonely Avenue"). The session went really well and two years and two records later I am touring with him. Some moments on stage I think back on that night and smile."

NOAH, THANKS A MILLION FOR YOUR TIME!!
